YTB - The Cure For Idea Diarrhea!
May 14, 2008 on 4:55 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Travel Club | No CommentsPersonally, I love great ideas. When I see unique and unusual business ideas, my mind goes into overdrive and I immediately start thinking about all kinds of new possibilities.
Can you relate to that?
Well, recently I had a conversation with Stu, a Canadian business associate, that dramatically changed my perspective regarding the true value of an idea.
And this came from a guy who markets himself “The Idea Guy.”
I asked Stu for his opinion on a new idea that I would like to implement. He wanted to hear about it so we went to a coffee shop and I started up my laptop in order to show him my “impressive idea.” He listened to my “master plan” as I went through all the details and explained how this idea was going to be my salvation. You know, the million dollar idea.
After I finished my explanation, he immediately asked me a question. “Would you like me to show you how to triple the amount of money you will make during the next 12 months?” Of course I wanted to.
I didn’t expect what came next. He grabbed my computer, closed it and said. “Kaare, you don’t need any more ideas. You just need to take action on the ones that you already have. Choose one or more of the programs that you already have joined. Do something with that. Take action!”
That’s not what I wanted to hear, but soon afterwards, it started to sink in.
An Idea By Itself Is Worthless.
Only when someone has taken some kind of action on an idea does it then gain value.
So many would-be entrepreneurs suffer from “Idea Diarrhea.” It’s a disease that stops more entrepreneurs from making the kind of progress they’ve always dreamed of than anything else.
It’s inevitable that ideas breed new ideas. You’ll have a million dollar idea on Monday and as you start working on it, Monday’s idea stimulates another. So on Tuesday you stop working on Monday’s idea and start taking action on Tuesday’s. Then Wednesday comes along, and guess what? You’ve got “another” million dollar idea.
Unfortunately, this cycle continues and before you know it, you’ve got a whole bunch of half-baked ideas not making you any money.
I realize now that the idea itself wasn’t as important as the speed of taking action on the idea. Everyone has ideas but the people who succeed in this world are the ones who take action on their ideas.
People join programs because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Then other things, other ideas, other programs enter our lives and all of a sudden good ideas aren’t such good ideas anymore. The reason was that they failed to take action.
Successful people have something in common; they took action!
All of us have joined YTB, a leader in the largest industry in the world. We have something that has made other people millionaires. Are they smarter than you? Probably not! Do they have better education than you? Probably not!
For most people speed is important. If you don’t do it quickly, it will never get done. The longer you drag your feet the less likely you are to complete it. If you don’t complete the steps necessary to make your travel business a reality quickly, chances are you won’t do it later and you won’t make any money with YTB. Just as you wouldn’t make any money with any other opportunity or any other idea. It’s that simple.
Stu’s lecture made me think and it made me re-commit to YTB. I know now that I want to become a director within two years and I will do what it takes to get there.
And the first step is to take action.
Is A Home-Based Business In Your Future?
April 27, 2008 on 4:31 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Training, Your Internet Biz | No CommentsToday more and more people have taken a look at a home-based business as their primary business. It’s people disillusioned with the corporate world, baby boomers who don’t want to or can’t afford to retire, housewives in need of extra family income, as well a the unemployed who cannot find anything other than working as McDonald clerks or Wal-Mart greeters. And people are looking at their home-based business as their primary business and not just the multi-level marketing that is usually done off the kitchen table.
Everybody talks about some of the extremely successful entrepreneurs who got their start in garages or basements, i.e. Bill Gates & Paul Allen (Microsoft), Ted Waitt & Mike Hammond (Gateway), Larry Page & Sergio Brin ( Google), Pierre Omidyar (eBay), Michael Dell (Dell Computers) and Jerry Yang & David Filo (Yahoo). These entrepreneurs eventually moved away from their garages and into the corporate world where they operate billion dollar empires.
Today’s entrepreneurs who are starting businesses out of their homes are usually staying there, even as their businesses are taking off.
The latest U.S. Census statistics on non-employer firms, defined to include home-based businesses and those run by one or more individuals, show that the number of self-employed reached 20.4 million in 2005, an increase of 4.4 percent from the previous year. According to NASE home-based businesses constitute 53 percent of all small businesses in the United States.
The declining economy is bound to drive even more frustrated people into home-based businesses over the next few years. The majority of Americans believe we are heading into a period of recession. Traditionally, during a recession, more people turn to self-employment because traditional jobs are difficult to come by.
It is common today for young people, raised on computers and the Internet, to want to avoid working for somebody else. Instead they are creating opportunities for themselves outside of the traditional workplace.
So, if 2008 is the year you’re planning to finally break free of the office and start your own home-based business, may it be a consulting business, online retail, eBay business, information marketing or any other plans you may have, you would be well advised not to rush into your dream. Take your time to learn some of the basics about the business model that you want to follow. Don’t quit your day job and start your home-based business the next day.
Fortunately, the Joe Congo Marketing Academy has a program designed just for you that allows you to do exactly that, while gradually building residual income that will continue to increase while you are learning your new home-based business.

What Should You Sell On The Internet
April 9, 2008 on 9:43 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Your Internet Biz | No CommentsToday we’ll take a look at what you need to consider when deciding what kind of product or services you should market in your homebased business. Surprisingly enough, this is actually one of the easiest decisions you’ll have to make because it really comes down to one simple question.

What is selling on the Internet right now?
The biggest sellers on the Internet are sex sites. I personally would not have anything to do with those sites, so I’m going to focus on the second biggest seller on the Internet.
Marketing and selling information is in response to the vast amount of information that is available on the Internet every day. Think about it. What are millions of people doing on the Internet at this very moment? They are looking for information just like you are now.
In the early days of the Internet everything was free. Today, while people are still searching for free information, they are now accustomed to have to pay for more advanced training. This is creating tremendous opportunities for information marketers.
Selling information digitally over the Internet has several tremendous advantages that you won’t see anywhere else, making it a very lucrative business model.
Here are some of the most important ones:
1. Low start-up costs. If you already have Internet service it is possible to get started without any cost. 2. Very low overhead. 3. Advertising advantages over any other type of media. 4. High perceived product value if you choose the right products. 5. Instant delivery. 6. No shipping and handling costs. 7. No product storage. 8 Unlimited income potential. It is totally up to you how much you’ll make.
What other business can claim all these advantages?
Once the website is set up, all you have to do is focus on your marketing efforts and public relations efforts, such as answering questions sent to your e-mail account. Best of all, you will continue to make money while you sleep, go to church, shop at Wal-Mart, go on vacations or spend quality time with family and friends.
It’s not only the great income potential, but also the lifestyle change that is attractive to all of us.
You can and should eventually produce your own informational products. But in the meantime, who wants to spend all that time writing a book without knowing how to make profits from it? The best way to get started and to learn is to sell other people’s products.
To gain required experience in the online marketing world, I would recommend buying the resale rights to sell other products that have already been proven to sell.
Making Your Life Count

Think for a moment about the people you admire and would classify as “great, or achievers, or movers and shakers”. Throughout all of history we can find them being quoted, used as the standard and even revered.
Even though many of their backgrounds, professions and stories are different - they seem to contain at least two common essential elements that were instrumental in leading them to greatness: systematic thinking and movement with urgent purpose.
We have all experienced this: concentrated thoughts cause results, while scattered mental patterns do not. The example of a magnifying glass being held over a piece of paper comes to mind. The result is fire! But, keep moving the magnifying glass around on the paper and what do you get? Nothing.
When your thoughts, energy and activity are scattered and all over the board, you create no focal point, no intensity, no sense of urgency resulting in - no fire.
Our heroes are those who seemingly accomplish more in a single year than most create in a lifetime. I personally know a lady in the travel business that I belong to, that joined the company three years ago and is now the #2 earner in the company. She made more than $3 million last year and is the top female earner in the the entire travel industry ! All this from a woman who was, by her own testimony, sleeping in her car and showering at truck stops just 3 years ago.
The world cries out for men and women who can get things done. Humanity itself has never been so prepared to follow those who are authentic in their promise to lead others to where they want to go.
But what about you? What role will you play in history?
Greatness derives not only from working harder, but from working more effectively through systematic thought and movement with urgent purpose. It comes from selling out. It comes from drawing a line in the sand and declaring to the world, “This is my time, this is my place, and this is my purpose. I will complete the task and fulfill my destiny.”
Joe Congo offers all the training you need to excel in your Home Business Opportunity, but you are the one who must take action. You are the one who must seek Greatness. Nobody else can do it for you.
5 Simple Steps To Uncovering Your Next Goal
March 22, 2008 on 9:59 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Self Help, Training, Travel Club, Your Internet Biz | No Comments5 Simple Steps to Uncovering Your Next Goal.Do you know what you want? What you really want? While they might not always be easy to find, the answers to this question are there, waiting for you. And if you just have 15 minutes to spare, those answers can soon be yours. Do you want a Home Business Opportunity?
Before you begin, you’ll need a pencil, a pad of paper, a planner or personal calendar, and a timer or watch. As you answer each of the questions below, don’t over think it or worry about the “right” things to say. The point is to gather the first things that pop into your head, so feel free to write anything and everything that comes to mind.
STEP 1 - THINK LONG-TERM. What do you want to accomplish by the end of your life? Start the timer and spend three minutes - and three minutes only - writing down your answers. Have you always wanted to write a novel? Start a business? Join the Peace Corps?
STEP 2 - THINK NEXT YEAR. What do you want to accomplish one year from today? Again, just spend three minutes recording all the thoughts and ideas that pop into your
head. Would you like to pursue a new career path? Spend more time with your family?
STEP 3 - THINK NEXT MONTH. What if you found out that you had just one month to live? What would you do with your remaining thirty days? Spend three minutes writing your answers. Would you travel to another country? Get in touch with old friends? Risk it all can chase that dream you’ve kept locked away inside?
STEP 4 - WHAT DID YOU FIND? Review your answers to each of the questions above. What broader themes do you notice? What do they say about who you are and what you really want out of life? After three minutes of looking over what you’ve written, answer the question: What I really want to do next is…
STEP 5 - PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER. With the next big idea in hand, it’s important to make sure it doesn’t go to waste. Think of a specific action you can take within the next seven days that will get this new goal rolling in the right direction and schedule it in your planner.
Live The 3-Foot Rule
March 22, 2008 on 9:43 pm | In Fundraising Events, Golf Adventures, Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Talk Fusion, Training, Travel Club, Xoodlz, Your Internet Biz | No CommentsLive the 3-foot rule regardless of which one of the Home Business Opportunities you decide to choose.
Make a commitment-when someone comes within 3 feet of you, they are going to know what business you are in. More business in network marketing is built on the 3-foot rule than on anything else. People are everywhere-you don’t have to look for them. Just go where people are. Successful network marketers are always meeting new people as a way of building their business. Go to new places, join new groups.
Prepare for these brief meetings. Know exactly the phrases you are going to tell people as soon as you have the opportunity. Make it brief - just include the most important information that could help them getting attracted to you and your business.
Some people call this “the elevator speech.” Be prepared. There are “elevators” everywhere.
Write Down Your Goals
March 22, 2008 on 9:33 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Training | No Comments![]()
Home Business Opportunities: Step #1 is to write down goals and share them with family, friends or business associates. Just make sure you share them with others.
You must write your goals down. If you don’t have a target, you have nothing to aim at. You must have a big need to be motivated. You need to have a large reason to work this business successfully. You also must share your dreams and goals with people who are in a position of helping and supporting you. Don’t share them with negative people. But keeping them inside altogether means you are afraid of being responsible-being held
accountable by others-for achieving your goals.
What To Consider When Choosing YOUR Business, Part 8
March 21, 2008 on 3:32 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Training, Your Internet Biz | No Comments![]()
Leverage is absolutely critical for a successful home-based business in the beginning, and to enjoy a long lasting lifestyle. Your lifestyle is probably very fast paced and hectic already. Without proper leverage, you would have to be superhuman, or quit your current job to build a business, and I’m sure you’ll agree that would be a bad move. You should first build your business to a level of financial strength, and then possibly consider leaving your current job.
We put a great deal of effort into building our home-based businesses, but our system allows us to accomplish so much more for our efforts in a very short period of time. After a few short years, we can choose to retire if we like because our income continues to grow. You can literally achieve a higher level of success in a few years, than most people do in an entire lifetime.
Now that’s leverage.
What To Consider When Choosing YOUR Business, Part 7
March 21, 2008 on 3:26 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Resources, Training, Your Internet Biz | No Comments
Leverage
Leverage allows us, as entrepreneurs, to build a successful business, part time, around our busy lifestyle. In essence, leveraging our time allows us to get more done in a shorter period of time with less effort. This concept applied in business means you can accomplish more than you could normally accomplish on your own. An example of this is a business owner who employs 100 people, leveraging his time 100 times. This means he can produce 100 times more than he could by himself. He also gets paid on the efforts of 100 employees. The problem with this is the arrangement does not allow for the employee to reap the benefits of leverage, and therefore they are not as productive as the business owner.
Another way to apply income generating leverage is through the use of technology. This allows one person to accomplish more than they could alone through the use of:
Computers
Websites
Voicemail
Videos
Audio Cassettes
CD ROMs
When effectively incorporated into a home-based business, these tools can multiply leverage thousands of times. That means in the right system, technology can do the work of thousands of people, and you get paid on that work! Imagine developing a business part-time that wouldn’t interrupt your present circumstances, and provides you a flow of income while you spend time with your family, travel, go to the beach, or even sleep!
That’s the power of leverage. Use leverage in your Home Business Opportunity.
