YTB - The Cure For Idea Diarrhea!

May 14, 2008 on 4:55 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Travel Club | No Comments
An entrepreneur will often live and die by all his or her ideas.

Personally, I love great ideas. When I see unique and unusual business ideas, my mind goes into overdrive and I immediately start thinking about all kinds of new possibilities.
Can you relate to that?

Well, recently I had a conversation with Stu, a Canadian business associate, that dramatically changed my perspective regarding the true value of an idea.

And this came from a guy who markets himself “The Idea Guy.”

I asked Stu for his opinion on a new idea that I would like to implement. He wanted to hear about it so we went to a coffee shop and I started up my laptop in order to show him my “impressive idea.” He listened to my “master plan” as I went through all the details and explained how this idea was going to be my salvation. You know, the million dollar idea.

After I finished my explanation, he immediately asked me a question. “Would you like me to show you how to triple the amount of money you will make during the next 12 months?” Of course I wanted to.

I didn’t expect what came next. He grabbed my computer, closed it and said. “Kaare, you don’t need any more ideas. You just need to take action on the ones that you already have. Choose one or more of the programs that you already have joined. Do something with that. Take action!”

That’s not what I wanted to hear, but soon afterwards, it started to sink in.

An Idea By Itself Is Worthless.

Only when someone has taken some kind of action on an idea does it then gain value.
So many would-be entrepreneurs suffer from “Idea Diarrhea.” It’s a disease that stops more entrepreneurs from making the kind of progress they’ve always dreamed of than anything else.

It’s inevitable that ideas breed new ideas. You’ll have a million dollar idea on Monday and as you start working on it, Monday’s idea stimulates another. So on Tuesday you stop working on Monday’s idea and start taking action on Tuesday’s. Then Wednesday comes along, and guess what? You’ve got “another” million dollar idea.

Unfortunately, this cycle continues and before you know it, you’ve got a whole bunch of half-baked ideas not making you any money.

I realize now that the idea itself wasn’t as important as the speed of taking action on the idea. Everyone has ideas but the people who succeed in this world are the ones who take action on their ideas.

People join programs because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Then other things, other ideas, other programs enter our lives and all of a sudden good ideas aren’t such good ideas anymore. The reason was that they failed to take action.

Successful people have something in common; they took action!

All of us have joined YTB, a leader in the largest industry in the world. We have something that has made other people millionaires. Are they smarter than you? Probably not! Do they have better education than you? Probably not!

For most people speed is important. If you don’t do it quickly, it will never get done. The longer you drag your feet the less likely you are to complete it. If you don’t complete the steps necessary to make your travel business a reality quickly, chances are you won’t do it later and you won’t make any money with YTB. Just as you wouldn’t make any money with any other opportunity or any other idea. It’s that simple.

Stu’s lecture made me think and it made me re-commit to YTB. I know now that I want to become a director within two years and I will do what it takes to get there.

And the first step is to take action.

Establishing Daily Routines

April 9, 2008 on 10:14 pm | In Travel Club | No Comments

Establish Daily Routines

If you are new in setting up a home-based online business, you may find it difficult to set up a daily routine so you can accoplish something. Establishing daily routines is simply making a plan for what you do each day in building your business. Without stability, there will be no growth. Your daily routines are your stability. Try to make them fun and stick to them!

First and foremost, you need to expose your business to new people EVERY DAY! Consistent and persistent action will help you realize your dreams. Make this your first priority. Set up specific time each day to build your list and work your business. Set up an hour or two a day or 5 to 10 hours per week. For example, work Tuesday and Thursday for 2 hours and on Saturday for 1 hour. The most important activity is exposure. In fact exposure is everything! That’s why people say, “If you don’t have a list, you don’t have a business.”

You also need to set aside about the same amount of time each week to educate yourself. You need to subscribe to newsletters, trade magazines, etc. You need to buy books and courses related to your field. More than anything you need to learn how to market your business.

Fortunately, Joe Congo has a plan that will take care of all this training for you. To find out more, visit www.JoeCongoAttraction.com and learn how you can earn while you are learning.

What Products Should You Choose To Market?

April 7, 2008 on 2:01 pm | In Travel Club | No Comments

Today we’ll take a look at what you need to consider when deciding what kind of product or services you should market to your potential customers. Surprisingly enough, this is actually one of the easiest decisions you’ll have to make because it really comes down to one simple question.

What is selling on the Internet right now?

The biggest sellers on the Internet are sex sites.  I personally would not have anything to do with those sites, so I’m going to focus on the second biggest seller on the Internet.

Marketing and selling information is in response to the vast amount of information that is available on the Internet every day. Think about it.  What are millions of people doing on the Internet at this very moment? They are looking for information just like you are now.

Products to market

In the early days of the Internet everything was free. Today, while people are still searching for free information, they are now accustomed to have to pay for more advanced training. This is creating tremendous opportunities for information marketers.

Selling information digitally over the Internet has several tremendous advantages that you won’t see anywhere else, making it a very lucrative business model.

Here are some of the most important ones:

  • Low start-up costs. If you already have Internet service it is possible to get started without any cost.
  • Very low overhead.
  • Advertising advantages over any other type of media.
  • High perceived product value if you choose the right products.
  • Instant delivery.
  • No shipping and handling costs.
  • No product storage.
  • Unlimited income potential. It is totally up to you how much you’ll make.

What other business can claim these advantages?

Once the website is set up, all you have to do is focus on your marketing efforts and public relations efforts, such as answering questions sent to your e-mail account.  Best of all, you will continue to make money while you sleep, go to church, shop at Wal-Mart, go on vacations or spend quality time with family and friends.

It’s not only the great income potential, but also the lifestyle change that is attractive to all of us.

You can and should eventually produce your own informational products.  But in the meantime, who wants to spend all that time writing a book without knowing how to make profits from it? The best way to get started and to learn is to sell other people’s products.

To gain required experience in the online marketing world, I would recommend buying the resale rights to sell other products that have already been proven to sell.

How To Become A Well Paid Affiliate Marketer

April 6, 2008 on 9:14 pm | In Travel Club | No Comments

More than 38 million people started their very first websites online in 2006. This is in addition to all the sites that were already up and running. A great deal of those sites will be offering various affiliate programs for people who choose to participate.

Affiliate programs pay you for referring customers to them.  Most of them will supply you with promotional materials such as banners and ezine ads, so all you have to do is promote their advertisements and collect your commission checks.

Affiliate marketing

If someone visits their website through your link and eventually buys from them, you get paid a commission. This can generate a steady stream of income on the side. I strongly suggest you choose a few select companies and do the same.

It is possible for you to run your business completely by referring people to other websites, without even having a website.

It is now easier than ever to find the best affiliate program for your particular application. Support will be the number one consideration for you when choosing a program.  Traditional advertising is becoming less and less effective. This is a great opportunity for web  affiliates and resellers alike. There are now thousands of affiliate programs to choose from and there are no difficulties in finding the right one for you.

Keep in mind that you should never refer your customers to a company that you would not do business with yourself. You would only be doing yourself a grave injustice by ruining your reputation.  Represent only what you stand behind and can be proud of standing behind.

One of the first decisions you should make is to sign up as a web hosting affiliate.   Everyone who wants his own website needs a web hosting company to host it.  The majority of people choose hosts based on recommendations. Usually, they get it from the ones that already use a particular web hosting service.

With so many hosts offering affiliate programs, you need find the one which you think will work best for you. Think of the product or service you will be promoting. Compare the hosting companies to your needs and see if they are catering to the same things that you require.

When you have been with one host for some time and you do not seem to show sufficient results despite all your efforts, leave that host and look for another. There is no use in trying to stick with one when you could be better off with another one. Of course, first you have to consider if your problems really are the host’s fault. If you are not sure, try someone else anyhow.

If you are happy and satisfied with your web host, find out if they are offering an affiliate program that you can participate in. Instead of you paying them, why not make it the other way around. Let them pay you. The process can be as easy as putting a small “powered by” or “hosted by” link at the bottom of your page and you are in the affiliate business.

Always remember that when choosing a web host, choose the one that is known for its great customer support.

There are a lot of niche markets out there just waiting for the right affiliate to penetrate them and make your dreams come true. Web hosting is just one of the affiliate markets you should try. Just remember that to be successful you need time, effort and patience.

Every affiliate marketer is looking for the market that produces the biggest paycheck. It is, however, not a magical formula that is readily available for them. It is more complicated than that. It is good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication. There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and will continue to work today.

Do a little research before you join an affiliate program. There are so many choices to make. Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge.

Other things to consider:

When do they issue the commission checks?
Is there a minimum requirement that an affiliate must meet in order for checks to be issued?
What is the hit per sale ratio?
How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system?
What are the kinds of affiliate statistics are available?
Does the company track your referrals so you will receive payment when the prospect returns at a later date to buy?
Does the company supply you with marketing materials?
Do you get residual income?
Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program.
Does the program have a proven system that can allow you to check your networks and compensation.
What is the amount of commission paid?

These are just some of the questions that you need to have answered before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be  as familiar as possible with the programs you are considering before incorporating them into your website.

Choose programs that you like and have interest in. Are you interested in purchasing the product yourself. If so, chances are there are many others who are also interested in the same product.

Look for a program that is of high quality.

Choose programs that have plenty of tools and resources that can help you grow the business in the shortest possible time.

Choose programs that are catering to a growing target market.  Make inquiries. There are forums and discussion groups you can participate in to get good and reliable feedbacks.

Do not waste your time with programs that do not reward substantially for your efforts.

Be aware of the minimum quotas that you must fulfill or sales target that is too hard to achieve.

A good technique is to use a unique website to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is often to your advantage to have a site focusing on each and every product.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do for those who buy them. Include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers give you permission to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles describing the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to read more and to contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

Offer free reports to your readers. Position the offers at the very top side of your home page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is seldom closed on the first, or even the second contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with a web page alone. Either a closed sale or the prospect leaves the page and never returns again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product.  Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. But do not make it sound as a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the e-mail. As much as possible avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before anyone can read them. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing out on something if they do not use your products and services.

Try to write a minimum of two articles per week, each consisting of at least 400-600 words. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.  Always remember that only one out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means that on the average you will make 10 sales.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs.

Making Your Life Count

Superman

Think for a moment about the people you admire and would classify as “great, or achievers, or movers and shakers”. Throughout all of history we can find them being quoted, used as the standard and even revered.

Even though many of their backgrounds, professions and stories are different - they seem to contain at least two common essential elements that were instrumental in leading them to greatness: systematic thinking and movement with urgent purpose.

We have all experienced this: concentrated thoughts cause results, while scattered mental patterns do not. The example of a magnifying glass being held over a piece of paper comes to mind. The result is fire! But, keep moving the magnifying glass around on the paper and what do you get? Nothing.

When your thoughts, energy and activity are scattered and all over the board, you create no focal point, no intensity, no sense of urgency resulting in - no fire.

Our heroes are those who seemingly accomplish more in a single year than most create in a lifetime. I personally know a lady in the travel business that I belong to, that joined the company three years ago and is now the #2 earner in the company. She made more than $3 million last year and is the top female earner in the the entire travel industry ! All this from a woman who was, by her own testimony, sleeping in her car and showering at truck stops just 3 years ago.

The world cries out for men and women who can get things done. Humanity itself has never been so prepared to follow those who are authentic in their promise to lead others to where they want to go.

But what about you? What role will you play in history?

Greatness derives not only from working harder, but from working more effectively through systematic thought and movement with urgent purpose. It comes from selling out. It comes from drawing a line in the sand and declaring to the world, “This is my time, this is my place, and this is my purpose. I will complete the task and fulfill my destiny.”

Joe Congo offers all the training you need to excel in your Home Business Opportunity, but you are the one who must take action. You are the one who must seek Greatness. Nobody else can do it for you.

5 Simple Steps To Uncovering Your Next Goal

March 22, 2008 on 9:59 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Self Help, Training, Travel Club, Your Internet Biz | No Comments

Goals

5 Simple Steps to Uncovering Your Next  Goal.Do you know what you want? What you really want? While they might not always be easy to find, the answers to this question are there, waiting for you. And if you just have 15 minutes to spare, those answers can soon be yours. Do you want a Home Business Opportunity?

Before you begin, you’ll need a pencil, a pad of paper, a planner or personal calendar, and a timer or watch. As you answer each of the questions below, don’t over think it or worry about the “right” things to say. The point is to gather the first things that pop into your head, so feel free to write anything and everything that comes to mind.

STEP 1 - THINK LONG-TERM. What do you want to accomplish by the end of your life? Start the timer and spend three minutes - and three minutes only - writing down your answers. Have you always wanted to write a novel? Start a business? Join the Peace Corps?

STEP 2 - THINK NEXT YEAR. What do you want to accomplish one year from today? Again, just spend three minutes recording all the thoughts and ideas that pop into your
head. Would you like to pursue a new career path? Spend more time with your family?

STEP 3 - THINK NEXT MONTH. What if you found out that you had just one month to live? What would you do with your remaining thirty days? Spend three minutes writing your answers. Would you travel to another country? Get in touch with old friends? Risk it all can chase that dream you’ve kept locked away inside?

STEP 4 - WHAT DID YOU FIND? Review your answers to each of the questions above. What broader themes do you notice? What do they say about who you are and what you really want out of life? After three minutes of looking over what you’ve written, answer the question: What I really want to do next is…

STEP 5 - PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER. With the next big idea in hand, it’s important to make sure it doesn’t go to waste. Think of a specific action you can take within the next seven days that will get this new goal rolling in the right direction and schedule it in your planner.

Live The 3-Foot Rule

March 22, 2008 on 9:43 pm | In Fundraising Events, Golf Adventures, Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Talk Fusion, Training, Travel Club, Xoodlz, Your Internet Biz | No Comments

3-foot rule

Live the 3-foot rule regardless of which one of the Home Business Opportunities you decide to choose.

Make a commitment-when someone comes within 3 feet of you, they are going to know what business you are in. More business in network marketing is built on the 3-foot rule than on anything else.  People are everywhere-you don’t have to look for them.  Just go where people are. Successful network marketers are always meeting new people as a way of building their business.  Go to new places, join new groups.

Prepare for these brief meetings. Know exactly the phrases you are going to tell people as soon as you have the opportunity. Make it brief - just include the most important information that could help them getting attracted to you and your business.

Some people call this “the elevator speech.” Be prepared. There are “elevators” everywhere.

What To Consider When Choosing YOUR Business, Part 5

Work from home

Home Based Opportunities. The dawn of a new millennium found us in the middle of another wave, the “Work From Home” trend which many believe is in it’s infancy at $401 billion dollars per year. People want to take control of their lives, time and financial future. A statistical fact indicates that most heart attacks occur on Monday morning. Does this mean some people would rather die than go to work? At this time, an estimated 14 million people work from home full time, and 13 million work from home part time in the U.S. alone. This number is increasing by almost 600,000 per year, and the average home-based business income is an estimated $50,000 per year, almost double the average income of an American employee! This trend is moving so fast, it is estimated by Home Incorporated magazine that 8,493 new home businesses are started every day.

That’s one every ten seconds!

Will you be one of them? Are you finally ready? Joe Congo is ready for you!

What To Consider When Choosing YOUR Business, Part 3

March 21, 2008 on 2:55 pm | In Home Business, Income Ideas, Marketing Academy, Resources, Training, Travel Club, Your Internet Biz | No Comments

Trends

Concept No. 3 - Take advantage of Trends.A “Market Trend” is really an economic movement, meaning that large masses of people’s spending habits are moving in a uniform direction. History shows that those who identify these trends early, and are able to meet the needs of these trends, are able to create abundant wealth for themselves. Read this before you choose from your Home Business Opportunities.

In essence, they get in front of an economic wave and ride it to financial freedom! The key is timing. Get in front of the wave and take the ride of a lifetime; start too late and you’re waiting for the next “Big Wave” to ride on. If you don’t pay attention, you stand to miss out on a fortune. Joe Congo is doing the legwork for you so when you hook up with Joe Congo you will know the best Home Business Opportunities.

So how can we predict such trends today? The key is to know the wants and needs of large consumer groups. “Who are they?”, and “what do they want?”

Current research shows, that what most people want out of life is feeding the current market trends:

Owning Their Own Business
Having Tax Advantages
Being Financially Independent
Being Healthy
Having A Rewarding Career
Owning Their Own Home
Looking & Feeling Younger
Improving Their Lifestyle
Losing Weight
Traveling

These are the wants and needs of some very large consumer groups. In fact, three very large trends are gathering momentum as you read this. They are so large that they can accurately be called “Mega-Trends”. The combination of these Mega-Trends is causing one of the most explosive economic waves in history. It’s this wave that will make YOUR Joe Congo Travel Club business the best.

Let’s examine what’s happening and why. The largest consumer group in recent history is called the “Baby Boomers”. This segment of society was born between 1946 and 1964. Because of the large number of people identified as “Boomers”, entire fortunes have been made by people who anticipated what these people wanted, and were able to satisfy those wants. As this group matures, they are literally creating the first Mega-Trend (TRAVEL) that our blueprint system will help you tap into.

We will examine these trends in our next posts.
